Dear Church,

You’re invited to help people around the world receive their first package, a package filled with the hope of Jesus.

DONATE
It’s estimated that over 3 billion people are unreached, meaning they have zero access to the gospel. Most of them will be born, live and die without ever hearing about Jesus. Less than 1% of all money given to missions goes towards reaching the unreached. That means that the people with the most urgent spiritual and physical needs are receiving the least support. Most probably have never received a package of any kind. It’s hard to fathom, especially considering how many deliveries many of us pull in from our doorsteps on a daily basis.

Let’s deliver
the hope of Jesus, door to door.

At Sharing the Good News, we work with partners (like you!) to collect Christian literature from those who have it and share it with those who don’t.

Here’s how it works.

Our partners collect and sort books, which are then distributed locally and globally by two organizations. In order to reach more, we need to help them increase their efficiency. Allow us to explain.

First, books are collected.

Christian resources are abundant and widely available! Thousands of books are being collected from homes and drop-off locations as frequently as possible, but there are always more to gather.

The Need: Currently, book pickups are scheduled and trucks are rented to transport them from donors to limited storage locations. We need your help to purchase a Mobile Church Library. This vehicle would be readily available to collect books and could also be used to sort, display, and distribute Christian literature in our local neighborhoods, as opportunities arise.

"

Next, books need to be sorted.

Once collected, the next crew of volunteers gets to work! Donated books are sorted by topic and relevancy and are prepared for sharing. Local distribution is done by both churches and Little Church Library, while global distribution is handled by Love Packages.

The Need: Our storage spaces are inconsistent and often overflowing between shipments. We are asking for your help to build a simple warehouse that would allow us room to store more and work with greater efficiency.

"

So finally, hope can be delivered!

This is the fun part! Imagine our friends around the globe opening their very first package and finding it filled with the hope of Jesus. It's happening every day, and you can help it happen even more.

The Need: This mission is only possible when we all work together, playing important roles at each crucial step. Will you join us? In addition to praying, please consider giving financially and sharing the need with your church or community.

"

Why books?

We are passionate about sharing the Gospel through literature! Here’s why: When someone is learning about Jesus for the first time, speaking with a pastor or walking into a church can require more vulnerability than can be mustered. We love that the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit can reach seekers in a less intimidating way—through books! Here are a few ways you can help us share even more:

Your funds will allow us to streamline our collection, sorting, and distribution process with the addition of a Mobile Church Library and a warehouse.

Who helped lead you to Jesus?
Maybe it was a parent, a grandparent, a friend, or a mentor – someone whose faith shaped yours in a lasting way.
We invite you to carry their legacy forward – in their name.
When you give $100 or more to help us build a warehouse that will send Christian resources to unreached people around the world, we will inscribe their name on the wall of the warehouse.

Hope sent where it’s needed most.

A message from our founder.

Scot here, and I have a confession to make.

I talk a lot about God’s faithfulness, but sometimes I’m tempted to put all my confidence in my own ability to make things happen. Have you ever found yourself forgetting to look to God for His provision?

About ten years ago, my wife, Judi, and I started Help Your Neighbor, a mission to connect neighbors in need with those who can help. We believed in this work so strongly that we invested $250,000 of our own savings and tried for years to make it successful, but we failed.

I know now that I relied entirely on myself and the vision I had for this project, when I should have trusted God for His provision and asked for His guidance. I should have asked for help from my neighbors and church family.

I am determined not to make that mistake again. Today, we are asking for your help. We have an opportunity to build something for God and help our neighbors here and across the world.

Will you help us?
Scot

P.S. If you’re curious about why sharing Christian literature has become my passion, I invite you to read our story on the about page.

Before you help, you may be wondering…
Where will the warehouse be built? Has the land been purchased already?

Shelby, NC    Yes

What will the Mobile Church Library be like?
The van should have shelving similar to what is found in book mobiles that would be used for sorting as well as delivering materials.

It will be used to go into neighborhoods and provide new resources for Little Church Libraries, and give others access to Christian literature.

Can I volunteer my time to help with this project?

Yes

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes

Would you be willing to come speak at my church about this mission?

Yes
